A Detroit native and a 1984 graduate of the Art and Design School at Northern Michigan University, Meinke's professional career in design spans nearly 30 years, both on the client and agency sides of the business.
Meinke established Archetype Group (now Arketype Inc) in 1992. In doing so, he founded the firm's principles to provide clients with the kind of originality, authenticity, and service that leads to long-term relationships. Behind Arketype's inception was Meinke's additional desire to position Green Bay as a place where creative capital could grow and be recognized, aiming to dispel the myths about where good design and great ideas come from.
In 2003, Meinke was appointed by Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle to the Wisconsin Executive Arts Board. He continues his involvement on the state's Executive Arts Board whose mission is to nurture creativity, cultivate expression, promote the arts, support the arts in education, stimulate economic development, and serve as a resource for people of every culture and heritage throughout Wisconsin. Meinke also serves on the Executive Weidner Center Presents Board of Directors and is the chairperson for the theatre's marketing committee.
