As a design services agency, you may think Arketype would stay away from an advertising medium that doesn’t offer any visual interest. But as creative thinkers, we do believe in the unlimited visual potential of radio: the listener’s imagination.  

Arketype describes radio advertising as “theatre of the mind.” Through the use of character voices, sound effects, music, and conceptual storytelling, we are able to paint a picture for the audience. And, since radio advertising reaches such a wide range of demographics, that picture is unique to the mind of each listener. With unlimited creative potential like that, you can see why Arketype enjoys producing radio advertising or “theatre of the mind.” 

At Arketype, our radio advertising production process begins exactly as any other design service project begins: concept development based on a solid strategy. Because Arketype believes great ideas come from anyone and anywhere, our copywriters, producers, and even designers work on conceptual ideas for our clients’ radio ads.

Once the team has landed on a few great concepts, the next step is script writing and client approval. Voiceover options, music choices, and sound effects examples are provided with the radio advertising scripts. The final script is selected and we’re off to the studio for recording.  

Arketype’s in-house radio production teams work with external partners for recording and final mixing. These professional sound engineers help us record the voiceover talent and “sweeten” the final radio ad for broadcast. Working with our media partners, Arketype provides clients with a strategic radio media schedule to get the message to the right demographic at just the right time.
